Himalayan Monal Co-operative society was envisioned by our enigmatic founder Mrs. Tara & few other women entrepreneurs in 2022. The Founding Team had since long driven by their mutual love for nature, soil, mystical mountains, fresh air, toiling natives, ways to support the local voices specially women and children in a sustainable way, thus establishing the brand, an idea, which caters firstly to Nature, secondly to Native Himalayan People by providing them right price for their produce and then looking after the wellbeing and satisfaction of the most important segment which is our Consumers.
Our 1st production and procurement center was established in the scenic Someshwar in majestic town of Almora of Uttarakhand. Our Founding Team’s mission & vision was further emboldened and validated when 121 local women came on board within 1 week of formation of Co-operative Society extending their full support, expertise eventually making Himalayan Monal Agro Private Limited possible. The Mission and Vision statement behind this women led movement has and will always be to seek financial independence, maintain native lifestyle in pristine villages to prevent migration which can be made possible by providing Authentic, Nutrition Rich, Indigenously produced, Organic and Quality Rich Products from Himalayan Farmlands reaching every household of Bharat first and then to expand worldwide one step at a time.
The Problem statement that Himalayan Monal Co-operative Society strives to resolve is that Himalayan food is simple, rustic yet huge on nutrition & world might be discovering organic produce now but in the hills since unknown time to present day, agricultural produce has been largely organic by default, as use of chemical fertilizers had been a rarity.Our able cultivators & growers know the essence of nature, ways to preserve & conserve it, after all we are the torch bearer of Chipko Movement in 1973.
